Our
"Traditional" octagon crokinole boards are made of premium maple.
To get best strength, stability and consistent surface possible, base
is 1/2" veneer core plywood, 1/4" playing surface is maple veneer on
mdf ply, Side rails are carefully jointed and dadoed so base sets into
them for added gluing surface and strength. Overall board is 28", while
playing surface is 23-3/4".

Our "Tournament" boards have a 26" playing surface, dropping 1/2" to a
full 2" gutter/ditch. Side rail is 1/4" solid maple, making the board
30-1/2" overall. Middle hole is 1-3/8", circles are at radius of 4, 8,
12" from centre. Base and playing surface are both 1/2" maple plywood.
Our round boards differ from many "tournament" boards in having a great
appearance with a high quality maple base. Side rail and base are clear
maple, while playing surface is stained to highlight grain. After the
final coat of lacquer is applied we "finish the finish" on the playing
surface. We use a multi step proccess, rubbing and buffing to the
smoothest surface possible before waxing with carnauba/polymer blend wax. The result
is the smoothest, fastest crokinole board we've seen.
Tournament boards include optional black latex rubber sleeves to slide
on over pegs, a keyhole plunged in back for secure hanging, a
washerhead hanging screw, and protective felt feet.
